  • @sonikku1011 The Genesis version is vastly inferior to this it captures the old world Euro feel. Reminds me of Gladiator and Conan.

  • @ivaerak I wasn't just comparing it to other platforms of that period. I was just joking around about the quality of the sound. Hell i could compare this to stuff of THIS time and i'd still think its good quality... though that'd partly be due to the fact that developers are so determined to pull more graphical quality out their asses that i dont think they even remember what real music is.

  • Actually, the hardware used to generate these sounds (the SID-chip) are used in professional studios today. Do you think anyone use PS3 or Xbox360 in professional studios?

Listen to that fat bass! Analogue filters....

    Analogue filters...

  • The Genesis version of this song is the far most superior one. It sounds like this version is based off the Arcade arrangement of the song, rather than the Genesis/MegaDrive one.

  • @Draekrio i feel as if the only thing worse than that could be the uninspired comebacks like the one you just offered to me. On a seeerious note now : compare the original arcade version -or any other conversion while we're at it - of the Golden Axe soundtrack, with the c64 version, and if you will still feel that the c64 sound is inferior compared to other platforms of that time...well i guess i cannot do anything to help you with that :(

  • @ivaerak I meant that the song is just too good to be ruined... Don't you just love it when some smelly ivaerak Gnome pops up a reply to a comment he doesn't have a clue about? :)

  • @Draekrio don't u just looove when some smelly Draekrio gnome pops up a comment on something he doesn't have a clue about

  • lol the C64 tried to ruin this song but it still came out sounding good. tells you something about this song doesnt it.
