How does evolution hurt religion?

CREATIONISM is what hurts religion -- because it is so preposterous.
Framed as the subtle (and possibly even profound) MYTH that it is, the "Garden of Eden" narrative may have literary and possibly even spiritual value.
Framed literally -- as "history" -- this myth is seen as rubbish, and certainly not science.

I though this video was about answering the question "Does Evolution hurt religion?" and not "How does it (evolution hurt) religion?" These are two different questions. I am kind of disappoint that the first question wasn't answered, and have to agree with xxxFaustusxxx's comment.

All of the crazy stories of the Bible (the religion most often involved in this) are contradicted by science. Everything from curing leprosy with a blood sacrifice, to the solid dome over the Earth called the firmament. It's ALL contradicted by science (and basic logic). It's just that modern Christians choose to ignore these crazy stories. But for some reason, creationists choose to pay attention to select stories, and claim that select fields of science contradict their pet favourites. Lame.

It hurts any religion that has a creation story that doesn't line up with the evidence put forth by evolution. Sure any religious person can ignore that, like Christians, they already pick and choose what they want to follow.
Evolution doesn't hurt religion in general, just creationism.
