Lexus ramped up its rivalry with BMW's 3 Series, unveiling new retractable-hardtop editions of its IS sport sedan at the 2008 Paris Auto Show. Toyota's premium marque said it plans to begin selling the new IS 250C and IS 350C in the U.S. in late spring 2009.

Once again, Lexus drops the ball by making another unsafe convertible with no pop-up roll bars. They didn't even give it side impact air bags! And don't bother telling me that convertibles rarely roll-over or don't really need them pop-up roll bars. I guess Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW & VW spend all that money on safety research & put roll bars on their convertibles for no reason at all, right? Totally irresponsible company that doesn't give a shit about the lives of the people who buy their cars.

wow! it is hard to decide which car to get but I would go for the IS350c. Remember both car are F>>>.o&&* good!

thats not a bad problem to have!  The F will be more rare, have sick performance, but a convertible is pimp! both will turn heads. enjoy

I own the first IS350 in America and my lease is now up, I am thinking of getting the IS350C, but the lexus dealer I got my car from is giving me a killer deal on the IS-F what should I do???

STOP RIGHT NOW AND BACK UP... ASK YOUR SELF 2 ?'S DO U LIKE POWER AND ACCELRATION WITH GREAT INTERIOR? THEN DONT BUY A IS 250 GET A 350... I HAVE DRIVEN ALL THREE OF THE IS LINES AND BY FAR THE CRAP LINES IN THE 250.. I MEAN THE GET UP AND GO.. GOT UP AND LEFT!... AND 2007-9 CAMRY ARE FASTER AND HAVE MORE hp AND TORQUE! DONT GET LAUGHED AT... PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF.... IS 350 OR IS F.... BMW 335I OR M3 NONE OF THAT 328 CRAP AND 250 CRAP WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!

I have to agree. very disappointing. I think bmw and mercedes tend to short change ppl on interior cuz they think they can get away with it. mostly ppl buy them for their reputations. but I think that will change in the few years.

wish they would have showed the car more. but it's nice! blows away the bmw convert. in my opinion. how much will it sell for tho?
