  • This thing is a piece of junk. It won't play discs from other regions because Sony "respects the privacy" of movie producers, studios, etc more than they respect THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS. I will never, ever, EVER buy another Sony product. I WILL, however, steal as many of their digital products as possible online and freely distribute them until I feel I've got my money's worth for what I paid for this piece of shit.

I hope the Sony execs in Tokyo all get cancer from nuclear radiation and die.

  • if you wanted you can move the s-air system into another room and it will work iv done it many times for partys im really happy with this system it never distorts music!

  • Can someone help?? I have a Sharp Aquos LC-52E77UN LCD with a Sony STR-KS370 Home Theatre System installed. When changing channels a message appears for about 5 seconds that says: An incompatible audio signal has been received. Check output device settings. What's the cause?? Thanks!!

  • Review this: Sony BRAVIA Theater System DAV-HDX285

  • not wireless at all

  • These guys are such goof-balls.

  • @darkdylaner

Not really. It's only for the two surround sound speakers. You need it for those two speakers, but nothing more.

  • @highwater03 do you have to use the s-air? we are going to get a new tv and theater system. we are getting the theater system now (as our current one is broken and it mutes randomly. also it was bought in the 90s), and get the new tv this fall (which is when google tv is going to come pre-installed on sony tvs. we are going to get one). our current tv is also from the 90s and obviously doesn't have s-air. so, do you have to use it?

It's simply an amplifier that controls the surround sound speakers. You put an adapter on the main unit, then one on the S-Air amplifier. The surround sound speakers run directly from the amplifier, they're not connected to the main unit. How far away the S-air amplifier can be from the main unit and still work, I'm not sure because my amplifier is in front of the main unit.
