This like-new 34 Ford Roaster is painted all in black but if it was a different color, for the first time, the fenders would match. Black fenders were now an option. Slightly restyled with a gentle face lift, 34 Fords offered several bodies. These included this Roadster, Coupes, sedans as Tudor and Fordor, plus Victoria, Phaeton, Wagon, and Cabriolet. This year marked the one-millionth Ford V8 and calendar year production shot up 68% to a total of 563,921 making Ford the number one producer spot from Chevy. Also this year enamel paint replaced the hand-buffed lacquer. A Stromberg 2-barrel carb sat atop the V8 and boosted output by 10 hp to 85. Only 1,523 Fords came with the in-line 4 cylinder engine and was dropped in March. From now on, only V8's would power Fords during the 30's. Prices ranged from $505 for the standard coupe to $660 for a 4-door wagon. Behold this exquisite Ford Roaster. Features to look for include the new V8 badge on the radiator, a hand operated drivers side only windshield wiper, art deco gauges, canvas roll-up roof, rumble seat and rubber step into the rumble seat, running boards, and rear mounted spare tire, to name a few. This is one of the best examples of a mid-thirtes Ford I've seen and I think you'll agree. Thanks very much for viewing this award winning 34 Ford Roaster.

  • @mrdestoryit I much prefer factory condition cars and trucks then ratrods. I only have one ratrod video in this channel and I found them unusual but I prefer very much the original survivor or factory restored vehicles.  I think they're much more valuable too. Thanks for enjoying this Ford.

  • The 33 and 34 Fords were a lot swoopier than the As. This sporty roadster is top notch. In 1962 when FoMoCo introduced their new small block V8 it was 221 c.i. just like this one. I wonder if that was planned or a coincident.

  • This car is beautiful, simple and harmonious. In our country the back seat was called, "Kill-mother in law" (mata suegras) and in Spain, "There you rot"(ahí te pudras) : It remember me to Bonny and Clyde.....
