This is a really nice and helpful video. I know it's a couple years old and all but I am happy I stumbled across it. Thank you!

Based on the current economic situation, stimulus and inflation of dollars, how does one's mortgage play into all of this? Do you think if someone has $100K of negative equity in their home it is a wise choice to "short sell" or "foreclose" and use those monthly dollars to purchase physical Gold and Silver or other tangible assets that are poised for gain? Should we continue to throw good money after bad money on our homes? I think many people would love to hear your position on this. Thanks!

@amc2525 if you cant pay your debts you will have bad credit for six years if you go bankrupted you will have bad credit for six years. This works better for people who dont own any thing. If you own some thing they take it away from you. (canada)

Wonderful tip on marrying money and/or don't marry a debt anchor. ps. Stock food. It's only going up in price. Buy new blankets...lets you turn the heat down. Get nice wool one. Build new pinching penny habbits. Then weekly, go buy a silver coin or two for the save. I have over 2k within the last 5 months. I'lll do that for life now. Fuck interest, dividend...you make it up by not reporting the silver gain, barter when you buy with silver one day. ps fuck Comrad Obama!

My strategy: Stocked up on tons of food. That kept me from eating out...the store is in the basement! Killed Cell phone. Folks...WTF...get rid of cell phones. Cancel TV, get high speed internet and a membership to a good video store. Bring your lunch to work. Plan trips. Stock silver weekly. Back to cell phone and TV...saved me $250 a month! Before you go buy...go masterbate. ha

I hope you asked for you money BACK! when you walked out of those Bad Movies.
It works well. I did that a few times recently and not only did I get my money back but vouchers to see more movies.
so true as to the vehicles, drive them into the ground!

I worked for a mortgage bank and you would be sickened at the way people spend money. Car payments that are more than 1/2 the mortgage payment, people making 30k/year with 70k in credit debt, people buying stuff they don't need, spoiling their kids and generally living beyond their means. Not to mention waiting until they are 40 or 50 yrs old to start saving for retirement. The lack of basic financial sense in the average American family is appalling.

I have a 06 Tacoma too. NOT ONE PROBLEM!!! Plus I bought on last day of fiscal year. Paid $1000 under invoice.
Best time to buy a car, last days of fiscal quarters or fiscal year. They just want inventory gone!!!

I thought it was 5. You should check with a tax expert as wrong knowledge can be expensive. Capital improvements are deductable. You make a profit but due to investment in the business you avoid tax. Studying tax ramifications will be the most profitable time you will spend.

OK I have to say this. I am really tired of the stereo typing. Many, many men spend a lot of money. In my family, my husband is the spender. It has been an on going argument sience the night of our marrage. He wanted, and did, spend everything we were given that night, I wanted to save it. And what gets me, is people assume it is I who spends all our money. Why? Because of my gender. BS!

You are right, its total BS. Gender doesn't matter when it comes to spending.
