General Dynamics sends employees home early to avoid protest!
St Pete for Peace protesting General Dynamics in St Petersburg, FL on April 13th, 2011. In May 2008, General Dynamics, the 5th largest weapons manufacturer in the world, sold $165 million in military equipment to Gaddafi's elite second brigade. This force was deployed to Libyan streets near the city of Benghazi where it unleashed live ammunition on protesters (BBC, 2/21/2011)
General Dynamics sent their employees home an hour before the protest was set to begin in an apparent attempt to hide the truth from their employees. So, the protest was successful before it even started!

At least the GD people had JOBS to leave early and not "free time" (aka-unemployed) to stand on a street corner. Why doesnt your group focus on more important issues like Domestic Jobs and all the homeless people in America today!

@dpo1fburg I was out there that day, and I helped organize the event. Not only do I have a job, I am a full time grad student finishing my Master's degree in less than 3 weeks, which I accomplished simultaneously while organizing for St. Pete for Peace. When will people like yourself start caring about humans, as opposed to only apathetic Americans?

@dpo1fburg When will you stop making false assumptions about activists you know nothing about? In my opinion, it's misinformed individuals like yourself who make it necessary for people like me to be in front of places like GD.
