  • This is what all the kids posting comments about agility and speed need to see. They have no idea what a musician is trying to get at. Sensitivity to tone, musical argument ,separation & character etc.(I don't begin to pretend to know my lessons never got this far though I studied the sec sonata it was never at this level) of each line is so apparent here.

  • Thank you for your comment. This is exactly how I feel about his teaching. There is nothing unimportant in music. Every detail matters and Mr. Feltsman is a master at it. He developed his gift of music understanding to such degree that he cannot be indifferent to this or that tiny part of piece. That's why it's sometimes so hard to be his student. He hears and understand so much more, while you are only beginning to understand it. Thank you again!

Felstman did not grow up in the US. He does not sugar coated his comments. If one seeking improvements, one will not care how he delivers the message, but those who like to receive praises will not like to have a teacher like Felstman. Personally, I like his style....say it as it is...no nonsense kind of teacher.

  • @Grigor99 well taken bravo! Its utility in its universality!

  • @musikguru1 I can appreciate the piety of your statement more than it's utility.

  • @Grigor99

and the difference is that lessons are for real pianists and "masterclasses" are for morons and idiots like yourself

  • No one should ever forget the depth to music. It's very deep and interesting to hear different ideas!
