Just because you are anti-gay marriage does not mean you are anti-gay.

I'm against any form of marriage being legally recognized by the government.

Government is supposed to treat everybody the same under the law, so if one group of citizens- straight people- are afforded rights, another group of citizens- gay people, for example- should not be denied those same rights.

It's not the government's job to define issues of morality, nor is it your job as a Christian to protect the "sanctity of marriage" by trying to impose your morality via legislation upon an entire nation.

People can have differing definitions on marriage, and it's not up to the government to choose the "correct one" - government should leave people free to do w/e they want up until the point where they violate another person's rights.

This is called liberty, it's the founding principle of the United States....
