The Central Texas Wolf Pack is a full-pads, full-tackle, NFL rules, national league football team made up of police, fire fighters and EMS responders. They are a non-profit organization, ticket prices are free, and survive only by your generous donations.
My first season as team doctor for these guys started off with a match-up against the LAPD Centurions. You're watching a play in the first quarter that showcases just how athletic, organized and dedicated these guys are.
With full-time jobs keeping the peace, fighting fires and keeping people alive, these guys somehow find the time to put together a top-flight crew of football talent.
Even though we lost this game, my hat's off to the incredible talent & drive displayed by this team. Players, coaches & support staff are all exceptional.
We have 3 more local games this season, starting on April 10 -- and tickets are FREE! Come on out -- it's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, meet some of Austin's finest and have a great time! For the schedule & more info, call team president Ruth Bullock: (512) 673-0307. And check out their team website here:http://www.eteamz.com/centraltexaswolfpack/
Go, Pack!
