The 2nd part of De Dannan floating about Galway Bay. The 2nd clip suffers from poor sound quality, as this came from the original source video which was recorded way back in 1983,on possibly a, by now, obselete Philips 2000 VCR. Still its just about viewable and if you turn up the pc speakers loud enough you will grow immune to the hissy sound.

  • @W0bbl344 The Cuckoo's Nest hornpipe.

  • @oisintiger First tune is "The Old Man's Blackthorn". The banjo player here, Charlie Piggot, recorded it over over 20 years later on box, with fiddler Gerry Harrington, on their album The New Road.

  • Anyone know the name of the first tune?

  • They all look like hookers in Gaillimh, ahhh sorry could not resist, great vids been ploughing through them.

  • I'm pretty sure it's the cuckoo's nest...

  • what's the name of the tune that starts at 2:08 ??

    Thanks

  • By far the best group this music has ever seen...nobody else comes close!

  • What sort of boat? Looks like a Galway hooker?
