The ad is for the GL model, however, they picture the lower classed CL model, which was the only one with yellow indicator lenses, other passats had clear lenses :)
Anyway's, It was, and still is a great car. Though I like the estates more...

I remember when the first commercial aired in 92. I didn't even have a license, but was trying to talk my grandmother into buying a Passat.
She refused to buy German...still had "issues" over WWII.
