There are a few things which it is important for you to know.
Your family loves you, it may not always seem like it but they truly do.
There is so much beauty in the world it is far from perfect but the beauty is there, so try to look for it.
On the world not being perfect, there are times in your life when you will see things that make you angry or hurt you or other fight against them, it is the only way to change things.
And most importantly love your family, friends and yourself.

Dear Eli,
It's been a few years now. So there are a few things you should know, if you haven't already figured them out.
First, the world sucks. Remember when you learned to walk and you fell? Or that time you didn't get what you wanted when you wanted it? That's what I'm talking about.
Second, the only way it gets any better is if we work together to make it better. But you don't have to worry about that yet. Just know that, because of people like your mom and dad, it gets better.
