This is our video footage after the TSO matinee show in San Antonio on 1/2/09. Thanks to a couple friends I've made on MySpace, we were able to get passes for the second year in a row. Last year, Chris Caffery had a "TSO Guitar" sent to my son, Michael, & another friend arranged for us to go backstage & have it signed by some of the band. We missed Al Pitrelli & really wanted to meet him, so we tried it again this year & succeeded! He signed Michael's guitar & was very nice. We also met Jeff Scott Soto & Scout (vocals) & they were super nice to us also. This is a VERY amateurish attempt at videotaping these guys while tryng not to get in their faces with the camera. I usually didn't record while talking to them, so you'll mostly see them talking with other people. During a part of it, I set the video camera down (sideways)& thought I turned it off. I was getting Al to sign my pass & we kissed each other for the SECOND time. :) You can hear him asking if you can see the lipstick on his lips/cheek, so his wife, Jane, would get jealous. Sorry for all the shaking around....like I said....AMATEURISH attempt! LOLOL The second half is after we got home from the show & I'm just showing Michael's guitar & the things that were signed. Ciao!!

  • was chris caffery and alex skolnick there?

  • @gimatt24 As I just told "bilbaron63", sorry it's taken so long to reply. : / To answer your question: No, Chris & Alex weren't their since they tour with TSO East. On this 2nd trip backstage, the mgr controlled it so much since the band was eating dinner, so he sent in who we wanted to meet the most, which was Al Pitrelli. He also sent in Jeff Scott Soto & Scout....all were very nice guys. : )

  • We saw that show..it was fantastic! We also saw Jeff Scott Soto a few years ago with Journey. Phenomanol singer.

  • @billbarton63 I know you wrote this 4 mths ago, so I'm sorry it took a while to reply.

Yep, that show is always amazing. Jeff is definitely a great singer & he's a VERY tall guy in person! It's funny to see him stand next to Al Pitrelli, who's a VERY small, short guy. (no offense to either one) They're all very nice, too! : )

  • I was at TSO last nite and got the whole band to sign. it was awesome. The all gave me some picks andi wasnt backstage!

  • Sorry I took so long to reply. That's great! They're always so nice & gracious to their fans. We plan to go to the meet/greet after the show this time. I hear the line is pretty long. Did you go to the m/g' after the show? I hear it's a long line, but I'm sure it's worth it. Our show's on Dec.26th,, so I'm getting excited. : )

  • when your backstage meeting the band they strongly dislike people who are back there with cameras and videocameras to record their every move. autographs are not as much looked down on but they still do not appreciate them. theyre normal human beings and like to be treated like one when they are meeting and conversing with fans and friends. autographs and pictures are for the signing line that they attend to after the meet and greet. next time, leave the camera off ;)

  • how did you got the vip passes? i am so clueless how get it.

  • Wow...I was just browsing TSO videos on here....did not expect to find this...I'm the girl with the group with Jeff, lol. Thanks for posting...that whole backstage experience was a blur to me...it's cool to see it from an outside view.

  • how did you get those tickets?

  • Yeah, i went to the m/g, i was lucky, i was feeling sick and left the show and went near the washromm and thought to wait so i was #3 in the line. :)

  • actually I went to the show in Peoria IL in early November and it was incredible as always....but that is so cool how you are fortunate enough to get the oppurtunity to do meet the band.....Ugh that would be amazing to do
