I also hate GFCI's, and I WILL NOT tolerate/have them in my house. if there's a ground fault big enough to hurt anything the circuit breaker will trip. However, I WILL have AFCI breakers. (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) they're very important. Especially if a electrical circuit starts arcing and is about to cause a fire. But IMO GFCI's are pointless.
@canonfs40user this one trips all the time! i think its getting old and tired, time to replace it but a GFCI outlets are like $15 for a single 15A duplex.
This happened once to me. I was at my grandmas house, just standing there, and one of those things just shut off with a night light plugged in. It was strange.
@84randomdude Same here! AFCI's are better than a GFCI!!! GFCI's can be a bitch at sometimes like this one. it trips all the time!
