Scots - Do you want to be governed by this undisciplined rabble? The Old Etonian Bullingdon Boy and his fag, George Osborne, laughing uproariously at his boss? The Speaker powerless before the howling mob that calls itself a Government, and the howling mob on the other side of the House that calls itself Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition.

Vote for Scotland's independence! A plague on both their Houses - commons and Lords alike ..

I'm Scottish, and I will vote NO to independence. Most people I know, are also above clumsy nationalistic feelings and will vote no as well.

I'm sorry that you are voting No, and that you dismiss the thoughts and aspirations of a large number of Scottish voters as "clumsy nationalistic feelings". It suggests that your reaction is an emotional one and not one based on facts and politicial arguments. However, you will get plenty of those from both the YES Campaign and the NO campaign in the next two years, enough to allow you to make a more considered judgement. Let's hope "most people you know" are also open-minded.

Have you seen some of the debates at Holyrood? They are just as vicious (if not more so) compared to the goings-on at Westminster.

It doesn't matter whether a politician is a Scot or an Englishman, they're still a politician!

Remember that Scots have dominated UK politics for much of the last 15 years:

    Gordon Brown = a Scot

    John Reid = a Scot

    Alistair Darling = a Scot

Tony Blair = a Scot (sort of - he was born in Edinburgh and went to Fettes school)

    Danny Alexander = a Scot

I have watched all the televised debates at Holyrood - they are a model of civility and good behaviour compared to this rabble. I'm not making a Scots/English point. I have little but contempt for the Scots you cite. rUK can have them - I certainly don't want them anywhere near an independent Scotland.

This is about a rotten political system - the United Kingdom. A new day beckons for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland when they dump this conspiracy of privilege, wealth and power.

Look at George Osbourne laughing like a primary school kid who just heard his friend say "penis" in class.

I will vote Aye to independance. Scotland will renew trade links with Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the Baltics. These countries have always been our friends and have said publicly they will indeed help a free and independant Scotland.

Scotland wants to have the Pound for at least a decade post independence, but as a foreign nation will have no influence over the Bank of England. Scotland will be in a currency union with rUK without the corresponding political and fiscal union.

Such an arrangement is currently tearing Europe apart because common currencies without political and fiscal unity quickly become very unstable. Scotland will need its own currency ASAP - being in the Euro would be evern worse than Sterling!

Models of civility? I found this in about five minutes:

    /watch?v=xZsAi4rAvYg

It only takes a few minutes for the presiding officer to tell the other MSP's to be quiet because there is too much jeering and shouting.

In fact, the debate I linked to touches on the issue of financial indepedence. The FM thinks being in a currency union with rUK will be just fine. Just look at the eurozone to see how sovereign countries get on with a single currency but no political union!

If you believe that Scotland is entitled to self determination and can govern its own affairs, sign the YES declaration at YesScotlandnet

Excuse me, we haven't elected a Tory government since 1992, and even that time the Tories LOST 40 seats!

The current government is not a 'proper' Tory government, and to be honest the only reason that the Tories are the largest party in the Commons is that everybody got pissed of and had to elect SOMEBODY other than Labour, hence the Hung Parliament.

In reality, according to the current polls, if there was a General Election tomorrow, Labour would have a 98-seat majority.

    Thank you!

I was beginning to think that there wasn't a single Scotsman on the internet that supported the Union!
