  • Keep an eye him. My cat had strong symptoms of this. He would obsess over his back. Had 2 seizures at the vets. The tech told me to run my hand down his back, I barely touched him and sure enough he had another seizure. He had had one the night before and the next morning had lost function of his back legs. It was too late for him because none of the vets I used had any information for me. So be aware.

  • my cat is almost OK.. We decided to not give him any against-epilepsy drugs.. just watch him carefully.. Since we have another cat (11 months) he didnt had any serious attacks of FHS.. Attacks are comming back when he have stress like visit in vet clinic or big ,black flies (I really dont understand why..) or presence of another ,strange animal (half year ago I took blind rabbit)..But as I wrote nothing serious..so no running all over the house with its hackles up and froth from his mouth..

  • @kbug861 You're story completely broke my heart. I'm so sorry for your loss

  • My cat still does this, usually 1-3 times a day...and sometimes he skips a day or two. He doesn't lick/bite to the point of mutilation, just a frantic licking for a couple seconds then he dashes down the hall.

I hope your kitty is better now.
