The fabulous Ian Moore Acoustic Live at the Mucky Duck in Houston, TX, Feb 13, 2009. He performs the song Today with the spiritual Will the Circle Be Unbroken. My battery ran out during a guitar solo, during the WTCBU, dang it! This is my favorite song from the album Modernday Folklore that he put out in 1996.

  • Absolutlely my favorite. I bought his DVD at the show, and it has this version on it.

  • @rideagoldwing58 This show was so amazing! Just saw Ian again on Dec 18th at The Haven restaurant and it was a very intimate acoustic show. Message me your email address and I'll send you an invite next time he does one there, the restaurant was talking about him doing more shows there. Don't think he has done the Mucky Duck again since this show.

  • I'm sorry but I can't listen to this. The album version and all the time I saw this moved me like no other piece of music ever has. I don't blame Ian for following his own musical direction for wherever it may lead him, and maybe this does for some of you what the original did for me, but damn, it seems like he was so in touch, and now......

  • Was in Waco 11/19, but had to fly back to NC that nite--saw the show on net but just couldn't swing it. Saw him in early 90s in Winston Salem, then a couple yrs ago at a BBQ restaurant in Raleigh--we spoke for a minute--super nice guy-and we reminisced about the WS shows--i asked him to consider coming to NC more often(or anywhere closer than TX) --what a soulful performer

  • The song is actually two songs...Today is Ian's...May The Circle Be Unbroken is a folk song and was sung at the end of The Grand Ole Opry every show and if you've ever seen the movie Iron Jawed Angels it was sang in the film while women were in prison for solidarity...Ian merges and weaves seamlessly the two...

  • Just curious where the name "Circle be Unbroken" came from. This is a longer verions of "Today". Wondering when it changed names. Anyone? Bueller?
