MGM no.mgm5057. "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Love You, When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life", sung by Fred Astaire & Jane Powell, From the movie "Wedding Bells".
Great song played on a great old phonograph! I had been told that the 78's intended for electric phonos could not be played on the old wind-up models without ruining the grooves. Something about the steel needle and the weight of the arm. Please enlighten me. Thanks!
this song is from the movie 'Royal Wedding'. the movie is loosely based on Fred Astaire's show biz travels with his real life sister Adele, before Adele married into royalty, giving up show business and leaving Fred to Hollywood. One of my all time favorite comic numbers.
Great song, great movie!

Great song! They don't make classics like this anymore and it's really sad.
