Country Blues by Martin Tallstrom

Practice progress video 11/22/09. Almost a year ago I decided I wanted to play fingerstyle steel string acoustic guitar. I played alot when younger, but never this style. That's a longer story... I now want to make periodic videos to help me evaluate my progress. Martin Tallstrom has a lot of inspirational music you can hear/see on Youtube. He has free tabs for some of it at http://www.tallstrom.com.

I play this song at normal tempo, and at very high speed for those players that love to sniff each others rear ends and talk about who can play the fastest.

*Oh yeah... This was recorded with no amp by a small camera/ video camera using only the built in mic. I welcome any tips on my playing or video recording. I am not well versed in what equipment/ tools should be used to record a good sounding video.

nice...only 1 year? I just started, and wish I can be that good in a year:) How do you like your Eastman? What model is it?

When I was young 16-22 I was a classical guitar student... but had a lot of nervousness and discipline issues. So I didn't really succeed with that. Now at 35 I decided to practice regularly and see what I can do with this style. Guitar is Eastman AC512. It handles like a much more expensive guitar than it is. Initially I had some intonation and buzz issues. A good setup has made it a very good guitar for the money.

hey, diggity I thought it was funny as hell, the speeded up version- You know, you could've REALLY cheated, if you wanted - There are lots of devices now that will slow down or spped up any digital audio, WITHOUT changing the Pitch!..The video would've lagged behind, tho - Sorry,my wheels are always spinning!
