If you notice, the first xj' didnt make it far because he had too much wheel spin-speed/ Thats why the second xj goes alot farther, because he kept it steady, sometimes its better to try and keep the wheels from spinning. But sometimes you gotta get them spinin'.
Every terrain is diff' But in my experience you gain more traction if you keep the wheels from spinnin, just like traction control.

I spent about $8500 on my jeep, and about $2500 in upgrades over a 3 years span, I never got stuck like this b/c I knew what my jeep could and could't go through, I just don't go " Oh i have a jeep so it must be able to do this even though I have never tried before". All I'm saying is know your rig and know its limitations, Sorry you don't understand and feel the need to put words in my mouth.
