The Symphony in C is an early work by the French composer Georges Bizet.
Bizet started work on the symphony on 29 October 1855, four days after turning 17, and finished it roughly a month later. It was written while Bizet was studying at the Paris Conservatoire under the composer Charles Gounod.

There is a famous performance of this work from the 1960s by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Roberto Benzi. It could be this. This is available as a Philips Duo compilation CD "The Best of Bizet". Anyone else recognise this performance?
