MLP:FIM Star Wars ending comparisons

This is for if you hadn't already noticed the fairly obvious reference. I didn't know how similar they really were until I watched them one after the other.

@themazeful Well, the second comparison was pretty obvious for people who remembered the movie, but the first one I thought was intentional ever since I first saw it long before the start of season 2.

This is just too similar. ESPECIALLY when Applejack winks, or when Twilight smiles after Spike (C-3PO) WAVES at her. Hah and especially, let us not forget, the "round" transition to the credits. Ta-Da. Also, in the theme, there's a certain part with the trumpets that is VERY, repeat... VERY similar. TA-DAAAA! :D

@onemilliondollards Yes, but I seem to be the only one who supports the first comparison :/ I remember thinking of Star Wars ep1 when I first watched MLP:FIM S01E01 long before the start of this season

I'm not fully convinced the first one was a reference to star wars. it might be though because the music is quite similar.

@sharksification They both start with arches and have parades through town. It may be more subtle or just coincidental, but I'd like to think it's a reference.

The "Phantom Menace" reference... Not so much.
