  • I would like to clarify something, not necessarily directed at anyone commenting here, but nevertheless; the hilarious distinguishing factor between Metal and Country is that Metal is said to be a raw expression of human emotion...I dare anyone to compare the life of Johnny Cash and someone like James Hetfield. Country is derived from true darkness, expressed through something called music. Honest and simple. Whereas Metal is derived from "stylised" darkness not truly felt by the artists.

  • Metal is my favorite kind of music.

But Johnny Cash doesn't classify as music.

It classifis as Heaven in Headphones

  • JC is great but he doesn't have manic gothy panic rambling superpowers

  • As to the metal versus Johnny: almost everyone can enjoy JC and his music whereas very few like metal and most outgrow it when mature.

  • king of Country music: Johnny Cash forever awesome

  • This is horrid, One is good, Hurt is good.

This is why Old man Sam by Spiderbait was written

  • Why?? is it man has found more way's in one to murder every thing around world

  • @LochGabriel This kind of country... most sucks.

  • (or any kind of metal artist, for that matter)

  • @LochGabriel Who are you to judge if he has not felt that darkness? Who are you to assume his life was not horrifying and he expresses it honestly and simply?

  • @CCDarkable I think that's putting Johnny Cash on a pedestal, but his music does stand far, far above most.

  • @LochGabriel

Hetfield isn't a good comparison, bro. Check out Insomnium's "In the Groves of Death" to get a better idea of good, dark metal is all about. Not that I'm being critical or anything, just saying.
