In this tutorial, Marty goes over how to recreate the opening introduction sequence, or the screen crawl, in the Star Wars® movie franchise!
The main components are the text, the star field, the logo, and the music. I cannot provide the music for copyright reasons, but here are some images from Google, that may help you out:

Star Wars logo: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6c/Star_Wars_Logo.svg/6...
Starfield image: http://thebrb.com/stockpile/files/starfieldimage/starfield.png
The Franklin Gothic Font Family: http://www.webdesignhelper.co.uk/design_elements/fonts/fonts_sansserif_13to18...

Any comments or questions, I can address! Keep in mind, that this is not perfect in time nor structure, and I did my best to recreate it faithfully, as well as accurately, but not perfectly.

  • You don't have to hide the first few moments of the "Star Wars" title to hide the slow keyframe animation. Just right click the first key frame, click "Linear", and the zoom will move in a linear fashion.

  • @FlyingOverTr0ut It does not look as smooth as I have it. I mentioned that I tried that. It doesn't move like it does in the actual title sequence, try it yourself.
