Car Vandals Caught on Video

Two brazen vandals have targeted what could now be the unluckiest car in America. A pair of vandals threw a full paint can through the rear window of a 2007 Ford Fusion sedan, parked in the 300 Block of Chestnut Avenue near East 3rd Street around 1 AM Sunday. Surveillance video captured the entire incident on video and police are now looking for the suspects.

This is the same car that was also vandalized by a man, urinating in the gas tank, during Block Party of 2008. This incident was also captured on surveillance video and made famous on CNN, truTV, and Fox Reality. The car had just been returned from a body shop on Friday due to an accident in which a woman backed into the passenger side door.

In the surveillance video two men could be heard talking about the vandalism as they searched under the rear porch of the nearby home for something to throw. They even thought about lighting the paint can or paint thinner on fire before deciding just smashing the window was a better idea. The men also appear and sound intoxicated. The suspects could be seen fleeing north on Chestnut Avenue and then down an alley towards Bloomsburg University.

The car is owned by Jessica Bower, part owner of Bower Media, parent company of BloomUtoday.com. According to Bower Media president Eric Bower, a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
