You don't need to apply as an international student because you aren't. You have an Australian passport so you are an Australian citizen.

I read from the UNSW website that she studied in an international school in Jakarta. Maybe that's the reason she has the 'twang.'

yeah I know, I'm really confused now.. I'm half Aussie and half Chinese and live abroad, but plan on going back for uni next year.. so am I supposed to apply as an international student as well, even though I've got an Aussie passport? - so confused.
