Ok, need to build something this summer. Been thinking about it, then this video pretty much sold the idea to me.

@SoundsVk This is a C-Flex fiberglass hull. You don't need expensive wood for the mold. After the hull is ready, the mold is not needed any more. So I think you can even use chipboard and common and inexpensive wood to build the mold.

Congratulations for the boat and the music!!.
Iam planning to do the same.Do you have an estimation about the cost for the woods for the hull?
Thank you.

Great, now I need a sandwich and a sail. Seriously, great couple vids. Only question, is she still on the water?
Thanks 2ballas. I highly recommend it as a great bonding experience. When we looked back on it we were proud, but more than that we did it together. Now that he's no longer with us, I'll always have that time with him to cherish.

We cut the forms for the hull in the winter (even though everyone kept telling us not to build a boat in the basement). Then assembled the hull forms outside in the Spring. We put up a plastic "bubble" with a fan and a door frame and some sand bags so we could work in the rain and keep it all dry. It was too hot in the summer so we just uncovered it to work and covered it back up when we were done.

Thanks SoundsVk,
The wood used for the hull was just to make the form to fiberglass the hull, once it was glassed we ripped out all the wood and started on the inside with an empty hull. So the wood used for the form can be cheap pine wood or plywood since it will be removed.

We sailed her for 15 years. She's in dry dock now, but I still hope to get her back in the water where she belongs.

@acumache
Almost 5 years from the time we got the plans. Then after she launched another 2 years upgrading. I put in a little 12 horse Westerbeke aluminum block diesel. Took out the centerboard and added a lead "Scheel" design, took out the tiller and put in a binnacle.
