  • The Griz band isnt very amazing, so many people were off step during your show when you moved and overall your technique isnt very good. The main reason you guys sound good is your size.

  • Considering most people in Montana don't have much of a marching band program in high school, I'd say the band does a pretty darn good job. There is a high content of freshman with little prior experience and most of them do a great job. If you want amazing, watch drum corp that is 100% dedicated and hard working musicians. College marching band is a little different. :P

  • Then again, if you're from Bozeman, you probably took offense to the video. Which is understandable, considering I think we're better... but I would say that after being a member of the band for 6 seasons. Same as I would say our football team is better. No real insults were meant, its just a friendly rivalry. :P

  • You people take this video too seriously... It wasn't meant to bash, only to show the drumline size difference. What's with being defensive? You can obviously hear our band cheering for MSU during Always Look on the Bright Side of Life and here you are bashing us. Thanks!

  • I meant this video for FUN by the way, not arguing... psh. Get over yourselves. :P Marching band is supposed to be fun. I guess I should put a disclaimer PLEASE HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR BEFORE YOU WATCH THIS. :P

  • Quality vs quantity. A big band doesn't mean much if it doesn't have a good sound. And, look at the amazing guard on Spirit of the West.

That being said, the Beethoven on the marimba was pretty sweet. And, one of the more amusing moments for me that day was the guy on the accordion. Not something you see everyday.

  • Of course quality vs. quantity... but our band -IS- quality. I was only comparing the size of the drumlines. I'm guessing that you are on their guard. :P

  • IT's Mr. P!!

  • NO WAY! I think the guy with the guy is my school's band student teacher! Mr. Potresidess...or something lol

  • and our directors are the funniest people i've met

  • bridger bowl. And on a final note, new band members get a 500 dollar scholarship. Returning members get an additional 150 each year. Go MSU!!

  • This was the band from three years ago, and their numbers have been smaller since, whereas the msu marching band was the smallest it had been and has been growing since. The MSU drumline is twice the size it was and is now quite good. The MSU band also has a lot of fun. Just look at the video "if drumline played football." We have skit contests for all the sections, and the funniest section wins. If your looking for a college, msu has amazing academics and skiing at

  • Dude, I totally know where I'm going now. This is great. Hopefully I can do the Band along with my other stuff, but man. I'd be glad to belong to a school with such a great(and fun) band.

  • The GMB is awesome. And in 2006 the band was maybe the best it had ever been. The piece from Pretty Fly for A White guy just shows the intensity that went into the shows that year. Pirates and Frankenstein and Pinball Wizard and The Incredibles were also played that year...all smash hits. Great size band and good sound.

  • Oh i'll put rub it out on it all day
