The suspension is for the M4A3E8, or the Easy 8.

It has to be in there with the best war movies ever !! And how is the German Tank commander - Don't he look the part !!!

Too bad Tamiya didn't have a A3 suspension with the narrower vertical voultee spring suspensinion unlike your model of the "Easy Eight" with it"s wider and lower ground pressure horizontal voulte spring suspension. Still a nice job though! Gunner, D33 1-37AR. 1st AD, Desert Storm 1991 and avid armored fighting vehicle recognition nut. "Can't take it back after you pull the trigger!"

awesome!
2 things you gotta do: 1) make another one for me. 2) make the whole platoon and have them ride on the tank just like in the movie.

The tanks in the movie were M4A3E4s from the Korean War. THese were retrofits to put a 76.2mm M1 gun in the turret that once housed the 75mm M3. During WWII this was seen as impractical and a new turret was adopted, but in Korea there was a rush to get tanks in theater so Japanese occupation vehicles were retrofitted as such and shipped over.
