while in theory that's possible, if you knew exactly where to poke. in my box there are guns in the way. and it would be real simple to cover the buttons up with a piece of plastic or metal. now i will say they would not be hard to smash or cut/pry open they aren't very tough in that manner but for the purposes of keeping kids out of them but still having a readily available weapon in case of a break in at a moments notice they are the best i have found in that price range.

these boxes are awesome! i have had mine for a few months now i did make one modification though. i made the beeping sound much much quieter so as not to alert an intruder of where i am or what im doing. i have a glock 27 and a lcp plus a extra clip for the glock. fits nice and snug.

@labacu90 see i keep the gun next to me when i sleep of course i lock them up when im not home i carry concealed and have an alarm i just dont feel like locking my gun up when i sleep might not be enough time to fumble with a lock or rely on batteries running out on this safe i just keep it next to me if a intruder gets to it before me then he is too close at that point to unlock a safe i asume he has his own gun anyway its just a trade off i sleep better knowing i can go into action within secs

@jcgraves73 what if the intruder gets to the gun ahead of you? then you have no lock between the gun and your intruder -> aka your deeply fucked.
