Este es el verdadero generador de lo que hoy llamamos "Salsa" junto con Mario Bauzá. Viva Machito por siempre. Además de ser gran gestor del latin jazz junto con su compatriota Chano Pozo. Ah y recuerden que en el 40 ya tenia dentro de su orquesta a un joven prodigioso en los timbales llamado Tito Puente.

Well, even if you are East African, Cuban music came from the african slaves in cuba, so we are connected. Cuban music is a mixture of african and Spaniard, and the big band sound. You may not have latin ancestry in you but cubans have african ancestry in them.
