I played this song as first chair clarinet in 1974. I was a student at Edison Jr. High in San Angelo, TX. This has got to be my all time favorite song.

Well done, but more low brass/woodwinds would have been awesome. The beauty of this piece is that there are several key points for the lower instruments, that typically don't have those type parts.

I conducted this as a student conductor in high school great piece. Later I met the composer and now teach at the university from which he graduated.
