I think he's saying BECAUSE it was plastic a recip saw wasn't the best choice. Comment really doesn't make sense anyways though; wood blades are designed for plastic and comp materials as well, so considering how quickly you cut it I'm guessing you used a wood blade, which is the correct choice. I'd have used a jig saw though, since cutting right off the edge of the saw horse like that with a recip is kinda dangerous considering the length and weight.
