@Lieu3C4 Buzzcocks-the early UK punk band-used Mondrian inspired clothes and album designs.If you look at a map of Philadelphia it resembles those squares and grids as much as New York,if not more so.

To review the development of Mondrian's work and realise what he was working out were the social arrangements, house by house, block by block, street by street, of New York (and elsewhere) relative to what part were played by block (in the path of his playschool progress, so to speak), makes them cliched squares more than a bowl of carkeys makes a 1970s party exit.

I wonder if they were on acid like crazy or just really quarky and weird lol. Its a tough call cuz even though this is some of the strangest and most bizarre music you can find, the harmonies are still crazy good and below the surface of the craziness its pretty frickin good music
