Hariharan or Shankar Mahadevan knowing Tamil well is an icing on the cake. Whenever I listen to both of them, I used to wonder why not other North singers like Udit, Sukhwinder, Sonu, Shreya or Asha Bhonsle learn Tamil and sing. It'll be a treat to listen to them in correct pronunciations.

@pran93 I know that now... but I think I knew it back then too.... I believe I as commenting on a conversation other people were having about Tamil versus Hindi and which one sounds better. But it was awhile ago so I can't remember very well. Either way I know a bit more about India then I did then. :)

I totally agree with you. I am a Tamilian and i find that the intensity of the lyric seriously suffers when it is translated.
