I finally got back in the air today. Flew a lunchtime flight out of Santa Fe and around Tent Rocks, Cochiti Reservoir, and La Bajada cliffs, then along the Rio Grande. Absolutely gorgeous in the air. The added treat was getting to watch the historic WWII trainer giving rides... cool! (Historical aviation buffs please tell me if I've misidentified this plane!) I love the throaty sound of it's engine. I was also particulary pleased with my landing after not having flown in almost two months! Music: Voices by Russ Ballard

(Thanks for the correct ID on the plane! Info is now changed!)

  • Great Video but that's not an SBD. It's an

    AT-6/SNJ, a WWII trainer.

  • Thx LouDogIX! Info is now changed. It is an awesome and well maintained aircraft.

  • Now that I'm thinking about it... that explains the forward facing rear seat (as the SBD Dauntless has a rear seat that faces aft).

  • haha what are you saying at 3:07? and 3:26 is so priceless.

  • "no hands"... haha :)
