The 366 trucks were pigs but the old 427's actually did pretty good.

I love V8 GAS trucks. So the DIESEL GUYS hate me. Bahhhhh. I hate when morons ask how many MPG these trucks get, like if they pay for the FUEL I spent.

why do you think its a 427? most of those old beast came with a 366, and dont say "cuz its a big block" the 366 was a big block

a friend of mine found the casting numbers and looked into it, he said it was a 427.... thats about as best of way to find out short of pulling the heads

sounds a little old, is it a Holley 4 barrel or a Rochester 4 barrel?
