Attorney/Activist Victoria Reggie Kennedy, founder and President of Common Sense About Kids and Guns, accepted honorary degrees for both herself and her husband, the late Senator Edward M Kennedy, at Lesley's 2010 commencement ceremony. Kennedy heralded Lesley's century-long commitment to public service, and called teaching "one of the noblest ways to serve our fellow citizens."
