and as for democracy.. "to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands"

ex post facto law = unconstitutional

Retroactively get the corrupt banksters!!! and the corrupt governments, ad the corrupt industrials.
RETROACTIVE is the key word. GET THEM, retroactive.
-
It is hard to believe these greedy bankers get away with anything they want...wow, we the people could actually rise up and refuse to put up with this and why don't we? It's just not fair...I guess money isn't the answer and these men will have to pay an eternity for their greed...Christians, hold on the Lord is coming soon with power and rewards for all who've waited on Him and suffered at these evil mens hands. Bless you all--be strong and help the bretheren. Eternity is yours--Bliss!

I agree with Aaron Russo about democracy being an illusion in the U.S., but that's the U.S. The same doesn't apply when considering Haitian and Venezuelan elections as I already mentioned in my first post.
He should be asked about those elections and asked if he thinks tthose democratic elections have anything wrong or unjust about them.
However, he's right that legitimate rights and liberties shouldn't be overridden even by majorities. PM Jean Chretien said this in Canada re. same-sex unions.

Where is it written that the government is to be for, of and by The People? If this is in the Constitution, then what does this clause or stipulation mean, if not democracy? It means The People are to elect their political representatives, So what's the difference from democratic representation?
That's putting aside that, usually, more electors abstain and don't vote for most candidates elected to office than they get for votes, meaning they win by minorities, which is not democratic.

Excellent, however clip 2 and wherein Aaron Russo says the U.S. is not a democracy, but, instead, a Constitutional Republic, would be better with some open debate on the democracy part.
The U.S. doesn't have elections with 51% of electors voting in the same way. Often, more people abstain from voting than the person elected gets for votes. In Haiti and Venezuela, Aristide and Chavez won by landslides in elections. Those were contrasting examples of democracy, from what AR describes.
This example with the retroactive IRS law is the best proof that US is no longer a country of law.
