David Swanson is the author of War Is a Lie and Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union (Seven Stories Press, 2009) and of the introduction to The 35 Articles of Impeachment and the Case for Prosecuting George W. Bush by Dennis Kucinich (2008). Swanson holds a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Virginia. He has worked as a newspaper reporter and as a communications director, with jobs including press secretary for Dennis Kucinich's 2004 presidential campaign, media coordinator for the International Labor Communications Association and three years as communications coordinator for ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Swanson is Co-Founder of AfterDowningStreet.org, creator of ProsecuteBushCheney.org and Washington Director of Democrats.com, a board member of Progressive Democrats of America, the Backbone Campaign, Voters for Peace, and the Liberty Tree Foundation for the Democratic Revolution, and chair of the Robert Jackson Steering Committee.

It is very clear to me that the points David Swanson makes against the incitement and perpetuation of war are both valid and irrefutable. I would suggest that anyone who argues in favor of war examine their own motives...

@cajunincense - War is not the same thing as struggling / fighting for survival. War is industrial killing on the scale of nations and countries. Primitive man may have killed others for various reasons, one-on-one or in small groups. Individual killing is not ''war'. Primitive man did not get together in groups of hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands and go attack other groups on distant lands for the purpose of killing them or stealing their land, etc...

I like his commitment against war. But hes stright up lying saying that war didn't exist in pre-history. War isn't in our genese, but fighting for survival was selective bred for. Observe our closest ancestors and those gorrialz fight all day and even kill each other's babies. This guy is obviously picking and choosing his facts...
