i love this..how the hell is this a "strange aria"?

Oh interesting ...this is not as awful as i thought it might be ...simply because she is not an opera singer ...i do respect what she does but honestly i was expecting this to be a breathy mess...!!!Fair play to her!

@secretfire89 so that means that you are going to open the season at La Scala as Lucia? Please let me know so i don't forget the rotten tomatoes and eggs so i have something to throw at you as every one boos at you.

what a piece of shit! Donizetti butchered by this wench! GAG! All her peasant fans who like her so they can say that they are cultured will never fathom how she masacres this master piece, since they can barely read in their own language, trying to read the score would be a conundrum so they can't see/hear that what comes out of the microphone that is deep down her throat is not what is on the score!

@MrSwifts31 she has made 8 solo albums so far and is the worlds biggest selling soprano. just saying.

OMFG! I wanna go to opera house ( 'cause I've never been into one).

Great voice but too bad she's dragging down the orchestra...even if opera isn't her usual genre, any singer should be able to keep a better tempo. Also to the poster, just out of curiosity (without any bitterness i promise!) what makes you say that this is a "very very strange aria"? I think that it is quite typical of his style...also, is Sarah really the "biggest selling soprano"?

not that bad for not a real opera singer
Again, Sarah isn't a career professional opera singer. But she loves opera & has sung some arias. Her greatest talent is in Broadway and she has made a career with pop-and-opera/art song fusion. I like this version of Regnava nel silenzio and it's not all that bad. Her voice is dark and romantic. So stop all the criticizing and enjoy her. At least she's trying to make opera more mainstream!
