CDs with static is not static. its either audio errors or distortion and clipping due to the Loudness War. if the audio does not have errors on the CD, then its poor mastering.

The best noise cleaner I know is Nose Reduction plug for Sound Forge.
It really reads the noise and you can adjust how the reduction affects the sound file , add more high frequencies without the side fx we can listen in Audacity - like "underwater" effect.

God....it seems to talk about archeology... :( anyway, I have to correct you. 45 had two side, so two songs.

I have a problem. When I use my microphone there is no static! When i record it my voice and make my video there is no static. When I upload it to youtube. There is static! Help??

Ok this irritating static is getting on my nerves, when i capture my video using webcam and view it on its original state raw of 2 gig, there is no static.
The static comes when the file gets compressed to enable upload. There must be a good compressor out there that eliminates static upon compression.
Audacity has a remover for background noise,
this is built in ... and not a plugin.
and it's FREE!
I've used it on many mp3's and videos as well.
Load the sound track/file
Find a sample of the noise
Click 'remove'
It's gone!
(Repeat as needed) :D

LP stands for LONG PLAYING
Back in the 1950s there were 3 sizes of records
45s,78s and LPs
45s were small records that had one song
78s ran at a fast speed and were for real short songs......the 45 and 78 stood for the RPMS of the record players turntable(45 revolutions per minute)
LPs.......were record albums with about 12 to 14 songs...what we see on Cds today
