@MInuhanyouM You've got to give credit to early Adult Swim too. Toonami may have gotten me into DBZ, Sailor Moon, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam Wing, and many other animes like them, but Adult Swim got me into Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Ghost In The Shell, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop etc. I swear, as I age, the standards for a good cartoon are severely lowered.

Anyone else like me who was a full fledged anime fan and a part of the fandom even -before- Gundam Wing hit TV? You know, watching stuff like Evangelion, Tenchi, VHS fansubs, etc, back in the 90s?

If you weren't in my generation of anime fans, who was already deep into the hobby at the time, I don't know if you could comprehend how huge a deal this was. The idea that Gundam would ever show up intact on American TV was unthinkable, and -every- anime forum on the net was talking about it.
