To speak 4 languages thus 3 foreigners except your native, it is sure you must be a sociable person who love communicate with the others peoples, minds and point of views,

it testify of an nice "open mind & spirit" & it is a good thing :-)

OH yes I say again (more even) : You are a very rare exception in your country for all that ^^

  • @cumbas True, the English are quite lazy when speaking Foreign languages, when I go on holiday with my wife I like to communicate with different folk, I am quite a sociable person.I get quite a buzz to tune in to all the conversations that are going on around me.

  • @philitimo

you are especially a rare and big exception in your country

  • @cumbas I lived in Europe for quite some time, communicating in 4 different languages aswell as speaking English. My language skills were enhanced considerably by working abroad.

    à toute à l'heure

    I will hold the line.

  • 3a-end)

For your culture if you speak French but I dont think like much more anglosaxon you are very bad to understand at least one foreigner language (but with your nickname there, why not ? ^^)

    /watch?v=_xz_Zw3AJY0

I prepare an english version soon, hold the line (if you want ^^)

after about the richness of the UK, sure, it was even their true & main force, richness made by their colonies far of Europe & France & protect by their only powerful Army : their Navy

But give numbers without explanations is a pure idiocy & testify of a short limited vision & analyse (like often by a guy from USA, educated or not, it is just a question of the education that you receveid since your childhood)

if you are from USA of course ^^

I say directly: FALSE informations quite simply about the demography

For your information there had in a French Army, corps of Scotish & even of Irish volunteers (some of them dont forget France alone vs all autocratic kingdoms united to attack him, not like you forgot your saver in the Independace War few years earlier, but is is another discussion out off subject...)

  • @cumbas The struggle between Great Britain and France was not David versus Goliath. In 1811 the total population of Britain (England, Ireland, Scotland) was 18.5 million.

    In comparison France had 30 m. Prussia 9 m and USA 6 m.

Despite slightly smaller populace Britain outspent France by a ratio of 3 : 1 in military expenditure.

France (total for army + navy in pounds = 188 millions

Britain (subsidies to allies + Navy + army) = 535 millions

  • at 0:37 the Emperor and his generals
