It really is amazing that Gumi, Luka, and Gakupo would somehow share resemblance towards Ranka, Sheryl, and Alto. But I'm having a feeling that there are another trio of singers/singstresses that would resemble the Macross Triangle...

I agree with the above comments. I can definitely see some sort of a Macross Frontier love triangle resemblance in the constant question of whether Luka or Gumi is the better choice for Gakupo.

That and Megumi Nakajima, Ranka's voice actress, provided the voice bank for Gumi, so it makes sense. ;p
