Do you make a new batch of Icing everytime you decorate? If not, how do you store it then?

Hi @NannaMorrison1 There's a post on my blog in the tutorial section entitled, "How to Store Royal Icing & how long can you keep it", if you'd like to check it out. If you want to keep it beyond that time, you can use it up by making royal icing transfers (there are posts on making those in my tutorial section as well). xo

    HI @Aileen lee

I haven't made a royal icing video yet, but the recipe is on my blog under the recipe section. For the cake I used buttercream (also on the blog). Have fun decorating!

Hi @nhyatsi! I haven't tried it personally, but I'm guessing probably not, sorry.=( Maybe a search on google will help with that though?

No problem Susie. You can do the transfer on parchment or wax paper. Getting it on the cake involves lifting it very gingerly and gently sliding it onto the cake. It helps if you have the design resting on a book, or other hard surface, (with the parchment or whatever in between of course), so that you can kind of slide it right on. Future video!

When you flood your cookie with the thinner icing, (green icing), do you let the thicker outlined icing dry for 1 hour before flooding? Or do you flood right away with the thinner icing? Thanks.

How did you move the transfer from the paper to the cake? Can you use parchment? I have parchment! Thanks. Loved the vid.

I have never baked before but I'm planning to DIY cookie favors for my daughter's birthday. So this video is a lot of help. I'm super nervous to try baking and decorating but I really really want to. How many long do you have to wait for the outline to dry before you pipe the next color? And what do you use to attach the decorated icing in parchment paper to cookie or cake? Thank you!

Great video. How long do you allow the outlines to dry before adding the next color?
