When a close relative of mine died a couple of years ago, I was once more confronted with the distance between where I live these days and where I grew up. When my uncle died, the first thing that came to mind was his cherry tree in the back of his garden that I had visited so many times and that he had cherished so much. In my attempt to come to terms with his passing I created a garden where grief can rest.
