90 percent of the participants of Occupy Gainesville have job(s), yes, plural...sad state of affairs is the economy. It's unfortunate that these (young and apathetic?) "get a job" chanters have NOOOOO idea what is going on around them, locally, globally, spiritually? oh, and good luck getting a job when you graduate 30K in debt with absolutely no job prospects (let alone one in your field of study)

You don't have to be unemployed to support the Occupy movement, and in fact most of the protesters I've met do have jobs. For me this movement is about the inequality, both financially and politically, between the 99% and the 1%. Get the money out of politics, give the people back their voice.

I am a member of Occupy Gainesville. I am also employed by the University of Florida & a freelance journalist. My affiliation with the occupy movement is so that I can continue to have a job & hopefully a better one once I get my PhD in Literature. No one else is really stepping up for the amelioration of our country & by ending corporate involvement in the University system, education can be about education & not just tests & rote memorization.

proud we made it into the parade! there are more than 4 people for the few jobs available. getting a job isn't as easy as you think! i've been trying for 16 mos. to those ignorant folks who chanted it:you need a reality check/compassion! your limited world view shows me how you're not really getting an education!

Congrats on getting a few of your buddies to yell "get a job" around a camera. It's obvious it was just 2 or 3 or you, anyway. As stated before, most of us have jobs and we're off on Friday BECAUSE of homecoming, dig? Try to do a bit better JOB next time!

Yeah, ... the jobs issue. #1: .. as I see it is to get folks w/ very high paying w/ lots o'perks doing very bad things must be convinced to stop, maybe even quit their stupid destructive job. It would be better for even their own children and the World as a whole. ESPECIALLY college bureaucrats. Maybe sports programs, too.

We can only educate those that misunderstand the movement and those involved in Occupy Gainesville. If they wont listen, move on to someone else. Some people will never get it. A lot of these students have no clue about the real world they are about to enter upon graduation, they live within a sheltered bubble. It is quite sad.

Wow, I remember when campus was the site for protests.....it's a sham that the up and coming "free thinkers", "future leaders" are acting that way towards hard working American's protesting in their free time to provide a better path for everyone!
@phredkid1 actually they were yelling it on both sides of the street. I found it interesting that people would decide to be vocal in their disapproval of the group. The point of the video was to show the contrast in opinion. Personally, I agree with some of the groups points but not all of them. Either way, isn't freedom of speech great?
