uhm dont peel the potatoes before you boil them!!! arghhh i takes away the starch, u want the starch for gnocchi... dont do it in a bowl... hrmmm thats not the authentic way
I'm steaming my potatoes right now. I'm really excited about trying these. Is there any way you can post the recipe for that sauce with the peas? That looked very good!! Thanks very much for this video and sharing your technique!!
hey, im an italian, and there is a better and a more easy way to make gnocci! but this vid has most of the main directions... but it wud be better if u boil them in water! much MUCH better! also... gnocci tastes wat better w/ red meat sauce!
Not bad considering the entire video was comprimsed entirely of still images, albeit panning. One addition I'd like to add is rolling the bite sized gnocchi along the tines of a fork. The dimple it makes from your thumb on one side, and the grooves it makes from the tines on the other side help catch and retain the sauce that it is in.
